cylinder cutout?

so i have a 91 with the re in it.. it is going to be my dd... i drove it home and it ran and drove fine... then i did my usual tune up and stuff.. including a bosch wires, ngk plugs, accel coil, wells cap and rotor, and a wix fuel filter... i pulled a toyota one off, pretty sure it was stock at 214k.. and i also did injector o rings on it... now i go and take off and it take off kinda slow.. and then you press the gas harder the rpm's slowely build up and then all of the sudden it takes off.. like it was running on 3 cyclinders, or something it seems to idle with a small vibration, unless you hit the gas a little then it smooths out. there is no check engine light on.. i put a steath-o-scope on the injectors and reved it up.. they all sounded like they were firing good from idle on up... any ideas thanks much apperciated since i will be putting 70 miles a day on this truck once it runs good.

Sure your plugs are gapped correctly? Plug wires on all the way? Try putting the old coil back on, the new one may be weak.

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
Did you bleed the air out b/f you started it?

Are you getting a definite "cylinder cutout"? If so, are you sure the right plugs are on the right injectors?

Can you open the air box and take it for a spin and see how it does?

Check all the connections around the new coil... You might have got a defective one, but I doubt it... You didnt shake it by any chance b/f you put it in did you? There is a oil I want you to feel for...

Can you put the fuel filter on backwards and it hinder the flow? I don't know... I mainly use OEM parts...

Amy chance you disconnected the vacuum line running to the fuel pressure regulator?

Without that, fuel pressure will be too high and the engine will load up until you hit higher RPMs.

plugs were gaped good.. almost a little more then factory recommends but since i am running a higher voltage coil i didn't worry about it.. i was thinking about getting different plugs maybe a i got a defective one.

i didn't bleed the since i never do i just run it and it always came out before on my other vehicles including my 85 22re that i have had apart several times.

and as far as the wires on the injectors they were barely long enough to get to the right injector, so chances are they are on right.. and the fuel filter is on right i know that. i have already pulled the plugs to look at them and it seems #1 is white which indicates it running lean/hot.. that's what the plug that i pulled out to looks like.. good thinking though

i will look into the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line. and change my plugs and if it still does it i will shake/swap coils... thanks for the input ... appreciate it..
