in a 88 4runner IFShow many cv axls are there 1 on each wheel or just one in the axle.

 

one on the left and right on the front coming out of the differential that ends at the spindle and has 2 rubber boots that are located next to the differential and spindle.

actually is there a difference between the 2 cv's drivers side or passengers side,I'm bidding on one at Ebay the guy that ownes it isn't sure what side it came from.

 

no difference, interchangeable side to side. if he doesnt know at least that i would be a bit suspect about buying from him.

Got me a brand new one 70 bucks autozone lifetime warranty now the hard part Putting it in, First time for me doing this are there any tech writeups that can maybe help me thrue this?

I did my own CV change at it really wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be.... Took me about 3-4 hours to put the new one in and of course grease going EVERYWHERE!

(Then I came in the house pretending I was the monster from the greasy lagoon! I dont think I've actually seen mom RUN from me before when I just wanted a hug! LOL)
