coax line from O2 sensor

I have a 21 code and troubleshooting found a broken wire that appears to be a coax type. Hillbilly repair did not work. Does anyone have specs on this wire (gauge or whatever) and where it terminates. Cheers,
Ohyeah, 94Pickup 22re 4wd.

You sure it's a coax? A coax would have one inner conductor with a connector terminal, and an outer conductor with its own connector terminal. Do you see those two connections? Wanna show us what you see? Pls see signature.

O2 sensor, Knock Sensor, and distributor wires are all shielded, so should look like coax of some sort (the shield only needs to be grounded at one end, so you won't always see the second connector, depending on the end you're looking at).

The gauge of the O2 sensor wire doesn't matter at all; it's very low current. The important part would be the overall toughness of the assembly; hanging underneath your truck is a brutal environment.

But what you really need is a continuity check -- and you're in luck! The signal wire of the O2 sensor appears as Ox1 on the diagnostic connector. With your under-truck broken wire, you can check for continuity to Ox1. Don't go nuts; it's still connected to the ECU (B-6), but if you use a regular digital ohmmeter you should be fine.

Thanks for the replies. I'll doelectrical checks. The wire was broken in the bundle between the intake manifold and air chamber. Very fiddley to access. I just put it back together and the code is still present so I was thinking about bypassing the break and looking for the right info regarding wire and good place to make the splice. John.
