Question clutch solutions?

i know, ive been posting alot about transmission issues.

here is the problem as it stands now and possible solutions from what i under sand. any input is appriciated.

Hard shift into 1st. jigge shifter push lil farther left goes right in.
Gears grind in reverse. pump clutch, mash all the way to floor still grinds.

solutions:
bleed slave cyl
adjust the rod the clutch pushes on.

anything else or anything i have wrong?

mine was doing the same thing but in every gear after my new clutch install. Truth be told, there is still a little air in my lines (as well as yours) even after bleeding it countless times. I also adjusted that push rod until it fell out of the master cylinder. I finally ended up fabricating a new clutch slave push rod (thing that goes into shift fork) that was about 1/2 inch longer and now it goes into gear smooth as butter. Hope this helps.

wow you shouldnt have that much play in the hydraulics.

Thought of just replacing the master and slave? $100 for OEM is well worth the $

Check two things first:

1. Is your clutch bracket under the dash cracked and or broken? (check with clutch engaged)

2. Have you replaced your shifter bushing? If not, I almost guarantee it's worn into a crumbled mess underneath your shifter.

Do these before you do anything else.

HAHA, i had both of these on my truck.

If the clutch braket is cracked, weld it (or find a machine shop that will) instead of forking out the $200+ dollars for on from the dealer. If it is the shifter bushing, marlin crawler sells a good replacement for cheap.

my clutch was liek thta because after it was replace the new one i had put in was faulty and the palte was comign apart. the clutch wasnt fully disengaging and mad it clsoe to imposibble to shift into 1st or reverse. Pretty much had to turn the truck off to shift into first or reverse. Kinda low odds to that happening but you never know. Bleed your hydrolics and check your clutch bracket. Other than that thers is nothign on the outside going wrong. I wouldnt suggest just buying the slave and master. In most cases i have sene if they move and dont leak then they are fine.

Please keep us informed. I had a bunch of things go wrong (blew the line going to the slave ) I changed the master and slave and then found the leaky line.I fixed that it worked fine for a week. I broke the clutch pedal bracket ( thought it was the master /slave failure and changed them ). I fixed the bracket. Now I grind in reverse but can get it in with a double clutch. I gotta change my shifter bushing. My problems are real similar to your so let us know what's up.

Note a bad pilot bearing will cause this problem also, regardless of how you adjust that clutch...
