Broken Leaf Spring $$$?

Okay so I was under my truck greasing and oiling and whatnot when I noticed that the 3rd leaf down on my drivers side leaf pack is croken and missing about a 4 inch section. Now it's not one of the whole leafs that go shackle to shackle so I'm not worried the truck is going to collaspe, but I'm concerned about the cost to fix.

I contacted my local spring shop and they want $600 for 2 spring packs and hardware, for essentially stock replacement. That seems steep, I've done big trucks and paid like $100 a side. Not $300.

So I checked on here and it looks like a lot of people get the OME kits. But I haven't found any kits that aren't with like a 4 inch lift. I'm trying to get no lift to 1 or 1.5 inches max.

Any help on some cheaper.... I mean less expensive parts, or possibly a place that sell aftermarket without lift springs would be great.

i got 1 replacement leaf pack from the local junkyard recently for $40 ... they frequently run 50% off specials so one could probably get a whole pack for $20

That's cool. If you don't mind, could you get an estimate on shipping. And figure how much you might want for the springs.

As noted, try a junkyard: http://www.car-part.com/ or http://www.yotayard.com/

Or you could try the Rancho Soft-Ride add-a-leaf kit, has 2 pair of leaves, one long-thin one that can replace the 3rd stock leaf and a short-thick leaf if you want added lift (or leave it out) or you can get stock replacements from JC Whitney or you can contact Alcan Spring and get custom springs built for $400-450 for the pair.
