From: Bryan Tx,
It surely is nice to have a garage to work in, 2 car minuimum was required when my wife I where house shopping. I love my garage and spend more time in it than I do any other room in the house. Looks like things are coming along nicely, good luck.

ordered a mercury villager fan today. the merc fans have a bigger shroud (than the taurus), so it covers the bottom of the radiator. speaking of radiator, radiator barn is my next e-stop...

I hear ya Skinner... Just think of it like this... it's really simple....

1. IF you have a shop that you really trust, and WANT SOLELY to do the work.... Well, you don't have a choice but to wait, right?

2. You're probably having to wait because HE(the shop) like many I've dealt with, well, .....THEY TAKE ON TOO MUCH WORK AND THEN BACK UP!

3. LORD HELP ME, ..........we all know and can relate......IT STINKKKKKKKKKKKKKKS WAITING! lol.

************************************************** **

Ian, sweet research here! Likey lol.

thanks!

yeah, that's why all the pics from above. i'll take pictures of all the ones i take off. this weekend i hope to drain all the fluids and start taking the radiator (and hoses) out, along with the headers (no, i'm not getting new ones. these work just fine)

edit: what's good for scraping off gaskets? just a razor blade, or something like a credit card?

I used razor blades...scotch bright pads work well after you get the worst of the gunk off.

All those things are great, I used them as well.... but ACETONE, BABY! lol... That stuff just cleaned up my things well... SO MUCH easier than when just using the brass wire brush by itself, etc. Also great to have when "last wipe down before installing the HG, Timing Cover, Oil Pan!

OHHHHHH, edit, derrrrrrrrr! lol...

Sorry, misunderstood. you're asking "where to put my thermal switch for the electric fan?" question, aren't ya? hahaha. Sorry, getting ready to leave on vacation... TOTALLY SCRAMBLED BRAINS at the moment!

I think some use a port in the block, don't they Ian? Not sure, but you could probably use the radiator one.... The thermostat will open when it's wants, anyway, according to temp. So, I would GUESS, total guess, lol...>>> Radiator thingymadoer? lol.

Best wishes, Ian....
