Question Blown Cat. Converter.. Now what?

Hey Guys, Whats shaking? Hope the winter holidays are treating everybody nicely. O.k., with that outta the way, I've blown my catilytic converter. I've got a 93' sr5 with the 3.oh which I've up-graded the exhaust system already. i.e. from the cat-back, I increased the dia. of the piping to 2.25'' coupled with a Flowmater 40 Series. I would like to increase the piping now from the 'y' pipe or from the headers. (what ever.... just before the cat!) to 2.25 like the rest. What Iam debating now is, I've always felt that the Flowie was Just a bit too loud. Could I put a Resonator (small one?) to kinda dim the noise a bit? Before the cat? After? And any preference out there to Flowie Cats? Mangnaflow, Walker? Any suggestions or imput would be sweet. I have to fix this asap.... No torque at all right now.
Cheers, Lee Hathaway

Magnaflow high-flow cat, $56 shipped. Make sure you pick the right tubing size.

O.K. I just got off the ph. with Lordco, Magnaflow and Walker.... I've pretty much summed it up. Iam gonna go fer the Walker hi-flow cat And Iam gonna stick with 1.78'' piping to try and reduce the sound levels there-by not needing a resonator. Thank for the replies all!! Iam trying to get this to be put on today!! Wooooo

You can always put in a small glasspack muffler to help get the sound down. Its a straight through design and inexpensive as any other.
