I visited the local PullnPay a couple weeks ago:
'93 runner buckets $20 each
seatbelt buckles $5 each
digital clock $5
A/C switch $5 (didn't need it, but the original from the 'yota stealer was $60 now I have a spare)
Glove Box+speaker housing $10
Probably gonna go back for an instrument cluster ($20) Mine has a cracked lens
Having a much nicer interior: priceless.

'Yota trucks are very scarce in self-service yards around LA. Rumor has it that they are quickly bought up and shipped to the Middle East. Apparently once you have your Kalashnikov, a 'Yota is next on your fashion accessory must-have list.

Cool! Would like to have sportier (not showy, just firm, good support) seats ike those! Have you checked if they readily fit first gens?
TIA

Good amount of 2nd gen 4runners in Los Angeles, but like Dave said not pickup trucks. I've seen many late 70's to 88' but rarely 89-95. The two I've seen were in serious wrecks with major frame damage but at least the interior door panels were in great shape and that's what I needed.

The toyota's in LA usually end in mexico. Or china for scrap steel.

K. A small update on the suspension coil upgrade. As luck would have it while I was procrastinating about putting in the coils on the rear. I found out that all 4 of my shocks were gone. After looking around I got a set if bilstein shocks for all 4 corners for 25 bucks after tax. Yummy days

For all you guys, how hard is it to brace the factory carrier on a T4R that didn't come with one? I don't have a welder at easy disposal, and would like to be able to bolt it in... I just don't know what and where it needs it.
