My haul from the local boneyard today. 2 door pin switches, power mirror switch, rear defroster switch, compass/temp/autodim mirror from a 1996 Surburban, 2 headliner rear speakers (mounted above the rear window, behind trim) and a power door lock motor. Not pictured- rear cargo area carpet (floor/back of seats). Total: $22.50.

This is the reason I keep getting back into these yotas
JY finds are king
Today was the first trip to pull a part since I picked up this 91
So far I grabbed a digital clock
A NICE center dome light/Rear view mirror assembly (Has X2 map lights + center flood light)
And the cig lighter insert as mine was missing
I did see the donor 94 has int. wipers...
What all is involved with upgrading??
Im assuming replacing the relay as well as the stalks/switches
I also noticed it has front vent windows
ALL the hardware is there
hinges seam good / latches are also a-ok
Is this a direct swap INTERNAL to the door???
Or do I need to swap the entire door???

Note: I did this recently, with a grab handle (and screws) from a CANADIAN 1987 4Runner (for my US 1987 4Runner), and noticed that mine were thinly threaded metric bolts, whereas the canadian screws that came with the grab handle were sharp sheet metal screws. I just matched up mine with a new pair from the local hardware store, poked 2 holes, and mounted it no problem...but was puzzled at first

Also for compressors, Pontiac 6000 LE's have them mounted in the trunk on the driver side behind the carpeted panel. Newer caddy's, 90-95's, have them mounted in the trunk as well.

i think i'll still keep looking for repurposed OEM from another vehicle just because the quality is usually better than the sort of stuff you can get new for $15 or so (any more and i will shell out for the blue sea).

I added front pockets from an 89-95 runner to my 88. Used interior paint as they were tan in color. I used the rubber gasket maker to mark the screw holes and then set it against the panel. Just drilled out the rubber dots and perfect fit.
Added rear pockets from an 89 SR5. Hadnt painted the buckets at this time. Mods are in my 88 build. Come in really handy.

Found a 1993 (I think) 4Runner at the local junk yard, the same color as my truck. After multiple trips, one in the rain with the wife, I have pulled the following:
- Bucket seats; and the seat belt buckle as the one for my old 60/40 was just too short.
- Mirror/dome/map light assembly and all the wiring and plugs.
-Part for the dash to replace one I broke.
Parts pulled from other yards:
-Rollbar; useless I know, but I like the look.
-AFM
-Valance and front bumper
-Factory switch for my fog lights on the rollbar

I work at a salvage yard, so...picked up the gauge cluster out of a montero that has the inclinometer? in the middle of it, will most likely hack away the other 2 gauges and mod the single section and mount on dash. Picked up one of those chevy/gmc under hood lights that pull out, and reel back in, found some new in box rockford fosgate spkr for my rear cargo area, another rear wiper arm, new/used texas ots? tires for the summer, all the instrument cluster lights, (mine are all burned out), extra tow hooks for the front, pair of fog lights for the front, single for the rear backup light.

I am currently working on a few upgrades for my 4runner that I am selling.... in the last little bit I have found oval tube side steps, camry afm, I have found a y-pipe for a crossover pipe elimination and I am in the process of doing the intake silencer removal but I am using a second airbox.
I have also fully removed the EGR system from my truck and man does that make a difference.
Next week the truck gets a full synthetic fluid swap and I am looking for replacement springs for the rear of my second gen 1993. I will keep searching.
also put in a sony explode stereo and got AISIN locking hubs as well.
