Can anyone recommend a source for replacing old cables?

Did they work out good for you, or would you have picked another source if you did it over again?

Mine have been pretty good. I did get a slightly heavier guage.
Just keep in mind since they are "universal" you have to splice in or replace the fusible link wire.

One could do that. I did not. The wire does lead to a fuse box.

I make all my own out of welding cable. I use crimp on lugs and marine battery terminals These being a stud with a nut great for adding extra wires .

The other ring terminals just go over the post making it easy.

lots of short pieces that can`t be used for anything else.

Bigger in battery cable is always better.

When I upgraded my alternator, I also did the 'Big 3' mod and found this kit on amazon.com.

For less than $40 I was able to make a 1/0 cable for the long alternator to battery (with an inline 150A fuse), battery to ground, frame to block, and have the amp RCA cables and speaker wire for my radio install. Worked perfectly.
