Add a Leaf for 4Runner
Are these easy to install? I am just trying to fix a drooping rear end (not mine

So the AAL are only a temp solution? What is the better way to go in order to lift the rear a bit? Hopefully without spending mucho $$ on new shocks, etc.
I do not do any "wheeling," so are the AAL still an OK solution? Long vs short AAL
?
Thanks.

A good AAL kit will be a long lasting solution. Something like the Rancho Soft-Ride AAL kit is good:
It has a long thin leaf and a shorter thicker one that you can mix-n-match with the existing leaves to make up the height and ride quality you want. Kits that use a single thick leaf can cause problems with your exisiting springs, making them bend and kink at the end of the thick AAL.
A buddy of mine has them on his pickup (just the long leaf for now) and it has worked fine for probably 8 years or so:

DanStew- you're saying that say 50 isn't much to spend if the leafs have to be replaced in say 2 years anyways? Considering new leafs run about 200 for the pair, 50 now and 200 in 1-2 years is more than 200 now and maybe not ever having to buy AAL's in the future.
