There are some really good threads on troubleshooting the TPS (search!); it's usually a matter of adjusting it rather than it being bad. However, they DO go bad occasionally.

UPDATE - Changed distributor. Although it helped in getting timing right on 10 deg. BTDC, miss is still there and pretty much no change. Also, changed all fuel injectors, miss still there. Still has great pick-up when throttle pushed. But miss and engine vibration is driving me FREAKIN NUTS!!!!

I think it's VOLUME Air Flow...

anyway, the last thing I'd check is to take an UNLIT propane torch & run it around all the vacuum hoses & TB/Plenum while it's idling (after warmup); if it idles up at any point, you have a vacuum leak there.

I know this is a old thread do you still have the problem?
I know the feeling about the misfire and vibration driving us nuts....now the vibration can you deacribe it to me?....can you feel it in the front bumper, tires, finders, frame, steering wheel, and is it worse when you cut on the AC compressor?.....just want to compair with my vibrations...can you drive down the road with vibrations and cut the engine will the vibration stop?

im having similar issues with my 95 3vze. it runs alright when you first start it but has NO power at all. ive got to put it in first to go up most hills and top speed is about 40 maybe 50 on a good day. Its shaky when it idles and and really feels like a miss to me. I just cant narrow it down to a single cylinder. I checked the injectors and have taken off the plenum about 6-7 times. fuel pressure seems fine, need to check it. Plugs are new and still pretty good looking. It could be the timing. Ive taken out the distributor and re timed but the teeth don't mesh correctly. either to far retarted (0 TDC) or to far advanced (13 BTDC) at its farthest adjustment.

maybe your 180* off with the timing?
burnt valves?
have you done a cylinder leak down test?
is the rotor pointing to the #1 cylinder, when the #1 cylinder is on TDCC?
clogged fuel filter?
lots of things to look into
