Hi, i was camping on the weekend and the rear window stoped working. It will not go back down? This is a huge inconvienience, where could i start?

snap-on

1)take the access pannel off from inside and inspect it to see if there is anything obiously wrong.

2) while your in there start probing for 12v. if one of your "safty" switches craped out it wont let you put the window down. (ie if all else fails hot wire the motor and see if it will go down)

probably one of the safety switches, try pounding on the tailgate with the key turned, thats how i had to get mine to work until i backed into a tree, by by glass

It could be the switch itself, the one that makes the window go up and down. Does it work with the key? If it does, then it's probably the switch.

I sprayed some electrical contact clean right on the switch and turned and it on and off very quickly. All my problem was the contacts. It's works fine now.

hey everybody, thanx, the window would go up but it would not go back down. i will try some troubleshooting this weekend but it was weird that it went up. would the saftey switches allow this to happen? im thinking the relay, but this is a complete guess. looking for a bit of direction before i start to tear into it. thanx again!

TRY OPENING THE DOOR AND SLAMMING IT,THE DOOR MIGHT NOT BE SHUT ALL THE WAY.

Since the window is up, you will not be able to open the gate. Push on both side of the talegate in the upper corners, where it lathces. Some times it does not fully close. That has happened to me a few time. :pat:
