88 22R block crack

SO can a 22R block be welded if it has a crack about 3/4 way down the block and across the oil pan flange. Not leaking coolant but is leaking oil. Someone tried to cover it up with JB Lockweld but it did not take to well. Or should i try to find a new block. Mine is a 88 22re converted to 22r

If its across the oil pan rail i might question it....

I would say that it could be welded VERY carefully....

If its indeed on the oil pan rail and its welded its going to have to be "ground" down and surfaced 100% level or the oil pan gasket will not seal there properly...
