'86 4runner rear window issues

1. So I'm having trouble with my rear door key switch I've looked at wiring diagrams and confirmed voltage on two of the leads and when the keys turned either direction I can hear the relay kicking in but I have no response from the window.
2. Another problem I've been having is if the center console switch is left connected and the headlights/marker lights are turned on the rear window goes down1986 4runner 2.4l AutoAny help is much appreciated!

How about the console switch, does it work up / down?

You might have a short between tail lights wiring and the motor wiring also related to (1). Most llkely in flexing cable between body and tailgate.

NEXT STEPS:
1) Disconnect rear wiper connector so it absolutely does not affect testing.
2) Test / check pins 4,5,6,8,11, and 12 here:

BTW, that roll-up window is such a stupid idea. More to break, not fit for a utilitarian vehicle like or MoreFunner, when the FJ60 simply has a flip-up window, and it adds about 25 pounds worth of parts to the tailgate. IF adventures do not get in the way, I would convert mine to simple, quick-acting, and sheltering flip-up like on camper shells that do nor rely on electricity to work.

The electric rear window really isn't that bad.

Some newer BMWs can have a no- start condition because of a bad door handle.
