3VZE differences???

I have a 94 4Runner with 3.0 and bought a 92 engine (I Think) and the circle next to the oil filter(screw on can with a hose) is not there on the replacement motor...Just a screw cap..
Can I put my (unidentified thingy) on the new motor?

BTW this site is really awesome.. helped me a lot just browsing threads.. thanks guys

yea just make sure the oil cooler isnt leaking before you put it in, otherwise its a tight fit to do it while its in there...i think wabbit sells the o ring kit for the oil cooler bolt.

FYI...you might want to make sure it's cleaned out..I've read on some posts brake fluid works...or you can take it to a radiator shop and have it cleaned...if it's a new rebuilt engine you might void the warranty if you reuse it..thats what my engine supplier told me..so I went with an eliminator plug. I don't tow with my truck.
