3VZE cam plugs additional sealant????

3VZE cam plugs sealant or no sealant??????? I was reading the FSM at http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...68cylinder.pdf and it mentions no sealant, putting them in dry. I notice the plugs have a kind of rubberized coating. The only thing it mentions sealant on are the #1 & #5 bearing caps.

I've put them in dry in a couple of 3.0s and haven't had any leaks after a couple of years. I think the rubber coating seals them up pretty well. I did install them in conjunction with the rear cam caps and everything was very clean. If I was putting them in with the bearing cap already installed, I'd coat the rubber outside with multipurpose grease to help with pushing them in.

if its a concern and you dont' want to risk doing the job twice, then put a light coat on the plugs and in the corners before you install the valve cover.
