when i have the diagnostic connectors jumped and truck is idling it rapidly blinks like normal, however if i give it gas it gives me a code 51 and as soon as it is back at idl it goes away. tested the idl and e2 connectors on the tps and they are working. hoping that its the problen with the smog or the ac

 

You don't check for codes with the engine running. Key ON after TE1 & E1 jumped.

Colde 51, IIRC is knock sensor. That would put your timing at 0 degrees BTDC.

 

so thats normal?


Code 51 AC signal on; DL contact off (in trany shifter with diagnostic connector jumped)

NOT>Code 52, 53 and 55 Knock sensor fault

Yes. I have 3 4runners, 2 of them are 3.slows..the other 3.slow does not get the code 51 btw. I appreciate any help
