Today i found this great forum.

I live in Romania, and i own an 1990 Toyota 4Runner 3.0 V6, manual transmission.
The car has 152.000 km.

I know the tyre/lift theme was discussed many times here, i read numerous post , and i think i found the proper combination , but please correct me if something is wrong.

I plan to put 33x12.5x15 Cooper Discoverer S/T tires on Eagle Wheels.
Wheels options are : 15x10 with BS 3 5/8, or 15x8 with BS 3 1/4. (must to buy from Germany, becouse not available here)

As for lifting , i was thinking about the OME suspension kit :

In front i plan to lift an extra 1 or 1.5" from torsion bar too.

Can you please advice if the tyres will have enough clearance with the 15X10 or 15X8 wheels ?

The car will be used ~ 10% offroad

Tire size you plan on running should be fine. I am not sure of the back spacing, still a little soft on that as of yet.

As far as the bad English. You do your self an injustice. It was pretty good. There are way more people who live here that would not have been as half as coherent as you were.

Get more backspacing on the wheels, no wider than 8" or better yet, find some 33x10.50 tires and keep the stock rims:

I will try to find some 15x8 wheels with 4" BS , but it's hard to find here in Romania, even in Germany.

If i use the 15x8 with 3 1/4 BS will have tyre clearance problems ?
The 15x10 has bigger BS 3 5/8, but as 4crawler posted , is better the 15x8.

I don't want to go with the stock wheels, i want to change to chrome wheels.

The wider you go the more likely the chance of rubbing up front. Less backspacing = wider, wider wheels = wider, wider tires = wider. If it rubs and not that bad, you can trim the fender where the tires rub. If it rubs bad, you can add a mild body lift to raise the fenders up away from the tire.

I will go with the 15x10 wheels....and will see. If it rubs bad, than i will add a BL too.

A 15x10 w/ 3-5/8" b/s will stick out wider than a 15x8 w/ 3-1/4" b/s:

The more the track width, the more chances of rubbing when the front wheels turn side-side.

Good link, thanks....I go with the 15x8
Reading some posts about the gear ratios, now i'm concerned about that.
I think in my 4Runner i have the 4.56 gear (1990 V6, manual transmission).
Will i have a big power loss, and bigger gas consumption ?
Should i change gears in differentials, or will be fine ?

If you have the 4:56's, you should be fine running 33's. I have 4:10's and 285/75R16's (33/11.50's) and I do fine. You shouldn't notice a huge change...

I checked right now in the car, and i have the G285 code for gear.
As i saw it means G - 8" gears , 28 - 4.300 gear ratio , 5 - 4 Pinion, Limited Slip.
Produced in Japan, i think for european market...

You'll still be ok with 4:30's... Like I said, I'm running 4:10's and although I'm not winning any races off the line, it's not a dog, either.

You also have a manual, which makes it even better...

It seems all clear now.
Next week i order the OME kit+ Torsion bars + SDORI 1.5" Ball Joint Spacers + SDORI Custom 1" Coil Spacers
Also i order the 15x8 wheels with 33x12.5z15 Cooper Discoverer S/T tyres.

Very cool... If you can, post up pics when you get it all done. I would imagine that there aren't a lot of "built" Toyotas in your neck of the woods...

And you have right, not many "built" Toyotas here, in fact mine is the only 4runner in our city, and i think is not more than 50 in whole country..
