1987 22re 4 runner help!!
A friend of mine has a 1987 toyota 4runner SR5 automatic. He did the timing chain on It yesterday and didn't pull the head.
It was running fine and perfect. Had just over 150'000 on it, he drove it in the shop shut it off and tore her down. Got it all back together and it's not noiding the injectors. It will noid them only once then nothing.
We can hear the flap in the vafm opening and it had fuel pressure. Then we found it is only noiding the injectors the one time. Then nothing, we have checked all grounds and even swapped distributers with a known good one.
Only connector that has been loose was the distributer and the one that goes over to the ignitor.

Check the distributor and ignitor are all plugged back in correctly. If the ECU doesn't get an IGF pulse back from the ignition system after a few revolutions, it shuts down the injectors.
