I've heard, truth or not, I don't know, it that the sticker you show there will increase the engine's horsepower by 5. You'll have to let us know!
I wonder how much the Jolly Ranchers will kick the HP up. Has to be some, or they wouldn't include the gaskets and so forth with them. Have to include new parts to support the increase!
Have fun!
Pat☺
"Whatcha talkin about " those decals are for the B pillar badge 😁
Looks like I opened a can of worms with that exhaust. Instead of out enjoying the 4runner this weekend I'm still working on it. The front seals on the manifold to the down pipe leaked right away, again. It seems the Walker seals work better.
Good to go now!
The problem was probably not the original down pipe gaskets but one of the exhaust nuts was cross threaded. I planned to clean the threads up once everything was apart but can't find any of my tap and die set anymore. This isn't the first time that has bit me in the ass. I replaced the stud since it came out with that nut. I figured they are just a one time use deal. I've reused them exhaust nuts before with good and bad results so new ones are on now.
I'm going to try to do something different to see if it works but I want to see if RTV can stop things from rusting together. The silver stuff just burns off on exhaust. We'll see 😉
Fun is the name of the game!
today we were on a health food kick😉
Buells Orchards Eastford CT.I love the dive out there!
we've seen about 5 older jeeps this weekend.
we have seen this 84 to 89 yota a few times when going down a road we like to cruise from time to time.
Look 4runners are trendy now! Lol last time I saw one on a commercial it was to donate your old "junk" vehicles but now look at it on the latest DSW commercial 😄
Time to fix some rust issues and add another coat of paint on the window frames for the top. I'll probably be putting it back on soon. Nothing like working on the truck when it isn't even here!
When out exploring with the 4runner in the area of Barkhamstead yesterday we were looking for this dirt road I had noticed before. Usually by the time I see it we passed it so I marked it on Google maps to not miss it. It is so small it blends in with the woods. Its probably closed in the winter though. Bummer.
it isn't anything 4 wheel drive is needed for but a nice little network of small dirt roads out there. We took it to another dirt road that we have been to before looking for a place to picnic but it was already taken. Only one table where I was planning. I figured since we have folding chairs we could just pull off on one of the dirt roads anyplace we wanted then found this new picnic area that the FALPS had put together. Friends of America Legion, And Peoples State Forrest. Cool place, Lunch with a view of the Farmington River valley.

Today's adventure more local at Fannie Stebbins Wildlife Preserve, Longmeadow MA. Some fun mudding in the springtime but looks like a lot of the off road stuff is kinda grown over now.
Another desalting, only two days of driving in the salt this time but the wrECHO was covered so two for one 😁
this is something I found on Facebook market place and looks like an option for a summer rain cover with some modifications. We picked it up not knowing if it folded up then took off the canvas and it easily came apart. I got to see a cool old Yota too!
I just noticed the other day now the truck is for sale.
today when out overlanding, ha ha. I made a few stops that I wanted to investigate a little further. We've been by this trail several times but before they put up a sign I thought it was somebody's driveway. it is an old dirt road turned into a trail. I kept thinking how much fun it would have been to drive the 4runner up to the summit. I imagine in the 80s people were doing that.
this trail is on the way to my favorite land bridge dirt road out there.
I don't think my little hiking partner likes it off road 😉
This is from the land bridge.
The leaves are starting to change out there.

Some progress on the original top. I fixed some rust, again on the window trim and fixed some chips that happened with the swing set hanger I tried a while back to take the top off.
It fell and the straps that held it up cut into the fiberglass. A little bit of JB weld and looks good. Its really was just cosmetic but figured I would try.
