No rear heat.

I have an 88 4runner with the 3.0 v6, recently I replaced the fan idler and flushed and filled the Radiator with fresh coolant, I also added a new T-stat
(180). The front heater is getting warm but when I turn on the rear heat, center console, it wont get warm, just blows cold air.
Its starting to get cold here in CO and i want to get the rear heat working asap.
Is there an easy fix for this or not easy fix?

Thanks

1. Make sure the rear heater hoses are connected, perhaps a previous owner bypassed it.

2. Make sure the heater valve is opening. If unsure, pull the heater out and examine the valve internally.

3. Make sure the rear heater core is not clogged. Try backflushing it with clean water and make sure it flows well.
