Very well built 84 Runner on the Bay'
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...172200693&rd=1Emailed the seller and was curious how much he/she was looking to get for it. They mentioned wanting around $14K for it. Is it worth it? I guess it is for whoever wants to pay that price for it.
I'd love to get it though. *checks wallet*

thats a really nice runner. the interior is awsome with the newer center console. I wonder how he retrofitted it. Ive been looking at my friends tacoma and i think i could make his center console work in my truck

I have seen this rig on ebay before also and I want to know about this "special effect" with the fiberglass so you can only see it one way??? Slacker would probabbly know if this is even possible. I think somebody didn't want to put down more primer and wetsand. Which is understandable i guess. this "effect" sounds like a paint flaw excuse to me. I have lowered myself to hate on this runner cause I think its so badass and I really like his engine set up. but whats up with the DOA hate isacc? Experiance? or just another hater like me? sag does need to be fixed though. Sounds like it alrady got a chevy63.

Hmmm... that is a lot of money. BUT, this guy on eBay seems to know his stuff. And I'm sure that he knows about YotaTech and the value of a solid axle 4Runner. Especially with a turbo !!!
14G's is a LOT though. Maybe too much. 7 or 8 grand sounds right to me!

yeah, it's a nice ride and all,
but by no means worth the $14,000 that they want for it. but i'm sure it would be a cool extra ride to have and be fun to drive with the turbo'd motor and all...

as he mentioned , it was the very first set we produced . It was built with 2 layers of 1 1/2 oz mat , and 1 layer of 18 oz woven roving (for phonominal strength) and GP resin . unfortunatly , it's not repairable .
now that being said .. it really isnt that bad , I personally have it on my own truck bed I build 6 years ago , and unless your looking for it , or you happen to see it at a certian angle , you would NEVER even notice it .. I think he is being TOTALLY honest in listing it .
Thats the Bad news .. The good news is , since then (2003) , we have now changed the process , and resins. ISO resin is now used for everything we build , and no more woven .. The ISO is impervious to heat and cold , and shrink rate is vertually eliminated , curing the telephoto issue .
