84 4x4 pickup....wife bought me a 40 inch light bar. I have no clue where to mount it haha. Any ideas? I'd really like it above the windshield. Just don't know how to mount it? Drill holes through the roof? Or should I mount it under grill up front?

 

I'm thinking drill holes in the roof bolt it in under the headliner so looks clean inside?

 

With it up on your roof there's probably going to be glare off your hood. It may not sound like much, but I absolutely loathed it on mrap's and matv's. they were even painted flat and covered in moon-dust.

 

Did not think of that...now I don't know what to do.

 

Do you have a type of winch bumper that you could mount it on? Or even a stock front bumper

 

I could probably mount it on stock bumper but it'd stick out further than anything else. ( my light would be my new bumper haha). I was evening thinking of mounting it on the hood. Set it up just under the wipers. Didn't look to bad. Really liked it on the roof tho haha.

That's awesome! Did you take the headliner down? If so...was it a pain?

 

Cheers! It was already down as was rotten and also put the centre console up for the UHf Head. Just sourced a wreck though with a good one in it so might look at putting it back up.
