i just thought of another question now....and im sorry if its stupid...i used to be nothing but a front wheel drive guy, so im pretty new to a 4X4 drivetrain...if i were to change the third member in the rear to say 4.56 or 4.88, obviously this would help, but would i also need to regear up front also...i would assume yes...but im not sure at all...

If you actually want to use 4WD, then yes. Why, you generally want both the front and rear wheels turning the same speed, makes driving possible. Only real exception would be if you wanted to run, say 28" tires up front with the 4.10s and 31s out pack with the 4.56s.
