G52 to w56d forward shift...odometer conversion?

Just snagged a w56 forward shift, I want to swap tranny's without cutting the tunnel.

Anyway, looks like there's a harness attached to the w56, and I'm thinking the speedo/odometers are not going to jive. Is there a conversion kit or hill billy fix?

HELP, I need to know how slow I'm going!!!!

The odometer and speedometer is usually driven by a cable to the transfer case (unless its the later electronic style)..nothing to do with the tranny
You might not have to cut the tunnel sometimes...just try it out and see

It looks like you are trying to go from cable driven speedometer to electronic..as for that I think they may have adapters for sale or you could just swap out the gauge cluster for a correct one

Well the new tranny is in..."schweet!"...but all my worry was for naught. The fittings and plugs for the electronic stuff, the speedo, the reverse and 4wd sensors all unscrew and swap with the g52 stuff. It was a direct uncut swap and I'm stoked with the results. The shift points are a bit different but I like it, seems to get up to speed quicker.

New shifter bushings made a world of difference and all in all I'm happy.
