Csf 2314 radiator users

I just picked up a csf 2314 radiator to replace the radiator in my 84 pickup. Although it isn't specifically for an 84 I think it will fit, I believe it's sold for 86+ Toyotas. The radiator that's in my truck now is a 3 row toyota radiator with the fill hole in the middle, like this csf, but I have no idea what it came out of.

I noticed when comparing the 2 that the toyota flanges are pretty much flush with the core but this csf one the upper mounting flanges stick out past the core more than the lower ones, it looks like it would tilt the top of radiator in towards the motor. Are there any differences between the between the core support of a solid axle truck and an ifs truck? Has anybody else had experiance using the 2314 and noticed the mounting flange difference?

Hmm no one huh, with the limited choices for a 3 row all metal radiator I expected some info about this radiator. I guess I'll just have to post up after I install it, maybe it will help some one.

I installed a 3row from a V6 Runner. It's plastic tank/aluminum though. Bolted in, works great.

Here are some pics of what is worrying me about this radiator and why I was hoping more people had experience with it. The pictures aren't great but show enough, you can see the flanges are almost 3/8" different off the core and might actually make the lower tank contact the front frame crossmember.

I'd just bolt it in a see. I do that with about everything though...

That's what I'll end up doing. It would be nice to know if this radiator is built right though, once I bolt it in I don't think I can return it unless it leaks.

I've never had a problem with CSF radiators, but I've only ever used two before. Once for an Audi, and once for a Heep.

I thought this thread was due to mounting differences, not the quality of CSF...

This thread was started because of mounting differences, difference between 84 4runner and 84 pickup core support, difference between ifs and solid axle core support, remember this radiator is sold for 84+ 4runners but only 86+ pickups. I don't think any one has changed the subject of this thread to the quality of csf radiators. I was just wondering if the mounting flanges on all the 2314's are like the one I got or if mine might have been welded to the core wrong. Mistakes can happen regardless of overall brand quality.
