transfer case id

i need to figure what t-case i have . like is it a foward shift or top. do they all the mount the same?
the number on my case is 50905792

pull the rubber shifter boots in the cab and look at them. what yr truck? 4 spd or 5 spd?

its a 1979 5 speed 20r

1979-1983 transfer cases were gear type 21 spline.

use this link to ID Top shift or forward shift.

if you have a 5 speed in a 79 it was swapped..
