remove the bolt, not just loosen, remove. then work the collar off of the splined shaft, it may help to lightly tap a chisel into the slot to spread it slightly. don't get all King Kong with it or you will break it. It may also help to unbolt the steering box from the frame to get the last little bit.

Alright so was able to rubber mallet a wedge into the collar and popped it off. Everything is back together!
Is there a way to tell if the drag link ball is seated correctly in metal sleeves inside the link?...After turning the set screw in as far is it would go, there is one thread showing on the end of the drag link.
