New Yota any suggestions?

so this is my first yota, got a hell of a deal... just couldn't pass it up. im planning on putting at least a 3-5 inch lift with some 33's, exhaust, you know... the works. also gonna put a weber carb on it. and thats about it, just put new 4.10 gears in her. anything i need to know about this particular model or what? its an '82 deluxe, manual tranny, with ONLY 94k on it.

People who work at autozone...well I won't say any more. The Asin carb is complicated, yes, but it's better than anything aftermarket. Webers are good, and simple, but at least in my opinion and many other people's who know what they're talking about, the stock Toyota carb is superior to anything aftermarket.

I think if you plan on going any bigger than 33's, different gears than the 4.10s may be in order. Those early 5 speeds were not strong, so listen to your tranny, and try not to lug the engine. They are good trucks, have fun! Can't think of anything else..too early.

Three inch suspension lift allows 31-33" tires. 31" tires require 4:56 gears and 33" tires require 4:88 Gears. I run 4:88 gears with 31" or 33" tires. I don't like body lifts and with a 3" suspension lift, the right shocks, chassis components, etc. you can still slalom, oh ! showing my age, sorry drift with you truck.

Too bad you just put 4.10's in, with 33's you would want somehting a little lower but thats ok.. it wont be too bad

You dont need lift to fit 33's but if you like the look then go ahead and lift it.

If you wanna wheel it dont waste your time with a lift until you need it. Start with a rear locker and when you feel that you need the stability of flex and clearance of bigger tires go ahead and lift it
