New truck

So i went to go look at an 81 pickup from a guy on craigslist, and the posting said it was perfect well it was not.. but the guy was the owner and driver of a pro rock racing team that runs all toyota drive lines and such and he ended up giving me a job with the team called rock tech racing. He also gave me the truck and more parts then i can could ever imagine for it. So now im building it into my dream crawler. It was such excting news and i just wanted to share it with people who might think its cool (unlike my girlfriend). This is my first posting to YT but i have been reading posts for a long time. let me know what yall think. sorry i dont have a camera or computer i have to go to the library but i will be workin on some pics soon.

when i bought my 83 over the phone i was told "yeah it's in alright condition for it's year" never saw it but i figured whatevers wrong i would fix it when i flew home from work

well, the frame is 100% perfect and por-15'd, 22r was rebuilt 3k km's ago, body's primered and ready for paint, new floor and it came with a second motor +lots of parts... it goes both ways its all luck i guess

what do you do for the team?

For the team Im going to help build the support truck for this year, and i will be driving one of the tow rigs all over the U.S. to all the events and il be in the pits at the events talking to people and going over all the nuts and bolts and fixing anything that needs to be fixed in between races. Im just super stoked for the job, Im graduating high school in May and this was the perfect opporunity. We will also be goin on trail runs just for fun on our days off when we are on the road. Im workin on getting a camera to take a pic of the trucks. to see some pics of the team truck you can google victors off road llc and go to the gallery and there is a couple videos of it. its the red Go-Fast buggy is the main rig and the white and sheet metal buggy is the start of the support truck.

Are you guys coming out to the King of the Hammers race, in February, here in Cali? If so I'll see you there. I'm stoked for you bro. I'll trade you jobs? lol

Sounds like its time to find a new GF too. haha Anything that takes attention off of them will piss them off naturally.

Ya Im hoping to get a computer for my graduation this year. but they are just the race team with a shop to do work on their own cars right now. My boss is hoping to open a shop that would do things like that in the next year or two depending on how things go.

nice, i was actually thinking the entiretyof the bezel being round, i have square shaped bezels that fit my round lights, i just allready have a custom grill so i wanted something completely fit next to the grill. not really worried about running lights or anything..found this, kinda what i'm thinkin off FJ40: http://www.cruiseroutfitters.com/con...rts/40_bib.jpg
