today i helped my brother in law move a few things in his yard with the yota, then went wheeling.....i cooked the clutch alittle.
still streetable without slipping, but no more off roading till i put in a new clutch.
passed through some trails, left me a few inches between my fenders and trees not willing to move, made a few trails through some briar patch.
didnt take the time to snap pics though,i was on a tight schedule.

Today i took her on a 200 mile round trip, ate a half of tank of gas.
60 of these miles were on the interstate.
When my spedo reads 60 mph, im doing a lil over 70.
Truck handled better than i thought it would.
Took awhile to get there, but once at 70 3/4 throttle held her there just fine.

no hits on the sale.
been trail riding her, through some jeep trails.
my yota goes everywhere my brothers 97 tj with 31 dc mud country's can go.
where he spins tires....i dont....lol.
hes a jeep kinda guy,hes impressed with my 82.

been driving her 60 miles a day for bout a week.
the odometer is stuck in the 109k range.
and i found out my heater doesnt work, blower comes on but no heat ...will have to dig into it i guess.
today i tried loading a 1100 lb diesel engine in the rear.....wasnt happening though.
the rear tires bottomed out in the wells.

shes been good to me!

really...i love driving the truck,the rough leaf ride,slow acceleration....ect.
1st and 2nd is powerfull,but 3rd and 4th are painfull.
ill look into either 31 inch tires or a 4.88 gear change....both about $600-$800.

I never really comment on threads like this but, OMG! Wait, did I read that right? You paid $2.5k for those trucks?! AND, someone (maybe his friend who was paid in beer) stopped by and offered $3k?! I don't know where you live so I don't know the market for those trucks so if you feel that was a fair market price, cool and... I'm glad I'm in Seattle! $2.5k here will get you a NICE, newer Yota...maybe like early to mid 90s trucks and runners. I got an 85 runner on 33s and drove it home 100mi about 3yrs ago, I thought I paid a lot for it but it was an 85. I think trucks like the ones you showed pics of in that condition are about $800 here, but I may be wrong...maybe its the max I would be willing to pay. Anyways, didn't read the whole thread, hope it all worked out for you for the best. I was just shocked at the price!

here on the gulf coast old toyotas that are still intact are very hard to find.
if i wanted to travel 800 miles to pick up a old yota,i passed a deal on a 83 in very nice condition for $1500.
but the travel expense woulda killed me.
i dont own a trailer or a truck to pull anything 800 miles, nor would i try to drive a newly bought truck 800 miles.
different value's in different regions in the usa bro.
im happy with my 2.5k ride.

today i had my toyota dealer appraise my 82,the salesman promised me $2800 for my 82 on trade in on a 08 tundra crew cab.
theres only a $500 book value on vehicles over 15 years old.
everyone there gave me compliments on my 82.
they loved it!

but book value puts it at $500.
im not trading it.

im stuck with this truck for 3 years now!
today i pulled a tittle loan on her for $6k to help catch up on bills and christmas stuff!

not exactly valued at 6k,i renewed a 5 k loan i had,was going to be paid off in 4 mths, swaped out tittles from a previous truck i gave me dad.
they valued the old yota at $3800 street value!
took part of that loan as down payment for my new car.
