Way to be man! I was running 35s comfortably with a 2" BL, nobody believed that's all I had for lift.

its prolly cuz your front leaves seem to have more arch than usual...

I just bought a 2" body lift to help clear my 37s... how do you like yours?
also my floors are rusted, is that gonna be a problem with a body lift I figured if its still holding up as is, 2 extra inches wouldnt make a difference

The xtra BL might make a difference on that rusty floor, sort of like a lever, the longer the lever the easier it is to move or break.
Just burn in some new sheet metal real quick, going to have to do it sooner or later.

Make sure the under side is free of oil, get the carpet and seat out of there so they don't ignite, have your fire extinguisher handy. If your floor is rusted where the body mount is (mine) and you're going to cut out the cancer and make a patch, just make sure your gap between the bottom of the new floor to the frame is the same or corrected if you have sag from the rusty floor... so everything will be square when you're finished.

Now would be a good time to clearance the fender well for tire stuff if you have rubbing issues?

my body mounts are fine just surface rust I can clean up with a wire wheel but the seem between my floor and rocker is where I can see street... so I was gonna clean it up and weld in some angle iron

Good advice, thanks. I repaired my posting, FWIW. Sorry I don't have a decent camera - I would add a decent photo.

Photobucket's simple. Upload Photos. Resize them to around 800x600 so you don't have to scroll all over the place on this site once they're posted. Copy the link under the photo. Post it using the image icon. There are instructions under the Newbie section of the site.

Took the truck hunting, ended up testing her towing abilities, had to pull another truck out of a hole. Did well, needs gears tho

Here's my 1983 4x4 short bed SR5 before the major face lift. It has 107K original miles and I bought it from the original owner who was a sweet old lady...other than the fact that she wasn't willing to negotiate on the price.

Here's what it looked like when I first got it. I took off the original wheels even tho those are original factory chrome wheels that came on this SR5, they're just really dull and need to be repolished or re-chromed. I have the original window sticker that lists these wheels as an option. I also took off the hideous side steps. PO had them on cuz she is an older lady and they helped her get on....
