They came all sorts of ways. My 83 only has two on each side, and others have 3, especially longbeds

Well, I wish my longbed had 3. It's still like 10x better than new trucks with hooks only on the inside of the bed, IMO. I love those hooks.

My longbed has 3 hooks. I agree, having them on the outside is way better, honestly I think the 1st gens are still better looking than any of the newer pickups, if only they would somehow produce brand new 1st gens. Id by one right off the line.

Man, I would too. I wish these guys would make a first gen pickup. Those FJ's are cool, but these pickups are so useful.

seriously though, you'd think to mass produce those vehicles it would be dirt cheap by todays standards as they are so simple and they would probably sell millions being as I can pretty much think of like 20 people off the top of my head that would by one for sure.

thanks for the comments guys. yeah i love it! these first gens have to be my favorites. a little off topic but still first gen, i've searched and everything just want another opinion i want to go to a 15inch rim and 33 10.5 or 12.5 what backspacing would be good for our first gens?
