Hard to believe it ran, cracked head (4 cracks) DEEP gouges in the #1 cylinder and a 1/2 inch of MUD and rust in the oil pan. going .40 over, cam, header, and weber. when I recover from the engine build I'm going to regear it, 5.29's and aussies. then tires Q-78 Swampers.

i really like the truck. good work getting it back into running shape.

to get your post to turn out more readable, just hit return after every line (like after the image code hit the return key. after a sentence, hit the return key).

the paint is Krylon flat kahki

and thanks for the encouragement

I've been working on her for about 5 months

the engine was a BIG set back, it ran when I got the truck (started on the 3rd try, we used a jump box and 3 sparkplug wires off of a junk car)

good build.
Did you keep those turbine wheels that are on the truck in the bush picture? I always loved those. They would look awesome black with the Khaki...
Keep us posted on your progress

yup I still have the turbo wheels not sure which ones I'm going to use I like both, but the steel wheels balance better. I really want factory stock steel wheels just think they're cool

went to the machine shop yesterday, the second crank I took him is worse than the original one. I guess I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a new one. Any suggestions on a GOOD company that sells Toyota cranks???

If you're looking for more advice on it I'd post a new topic.
I don't have any experience with them. Seems like maybe engnbldr would be able to point you in the right direction, though?

Thanks VK, I think I'm going to look into what all is involved in doing this setup. I love the way it looks on your truck! If you have any tips, info or advice for this swap could you send me a PM?
