that is too funny!!!! loving that snorkel; I also heard the 20 r engines had a better head setup than the 22 r/e 's did, so hopefully she's got another 200k miles on her yet...

...to 671- you may wanna replace the wheel lock , with a brake lock, same kind a stick, but goes under the brake bar, and wedges upwards. Lets see someone cut that very easy!!!!!

Newbie checking in.. I guess I'll post up some pics of the beast my gf and I got... Its an ugly beast... I think after getting stuck with a broken steering arm the trucks new name is the "blue bastered"

Small block chevy in it, turbo 350 trans with adpter to fit the stock toyota t-case, stock toyota axles, body lift, 35" tires... dual rads, dual batteries .. I don't know a whole lot about the truck we picked it up as a project.. So far I rebuilt the transmission, changed all the fluids, put a new trans cooler on it, redid all the battery cables.. built a new battery tray on the pass side.. the old one was rotten and the battery was ready to fall threw... lots more work to do.. hopefully I'll get some pics up from todays first wheeling adventure..

I have been out of Toyota's for a year and a half or so. After a month or so of driving past this '82 with a for sale sign on my way to work, I got the bug again and brought it home. It has been sitting for about 5 years as far as I can tell. Runs OK but needs a carb bad. I'm starting to go through it to get it to Daily Driver level now, will probably start building it up a little more after that. The bed is a goner and the frame has a couple of patches and soft spots to deal with. Its got about 230k miles on it.
