Firewall Gromets

Does anyone know where I can find new rubber gromets where there wiring harness comes out of the firewall? Over the years mine have become brittle and worn out and I'd like to replace them. Thanks!

problem with that , is they are not "split" gromets , they are installed on the harness at time of manufacture .. so unless your going to cut the harness and splice it back together ? it's not possable to replace them

Try Lowe's or HD, go to the hardware isle and look in the trays full of little goodies.

Cut the grommet with wire cutters and fit around wire bundle and then into the hole. Put the slice "up" on the top. Even being cut the proper sized grommet with fill the hole snugly.

Ron Francis Wire Works has the right size grommets but you will have to split them. There are a number of street rod vendors that have billet aluminum units that are designed to go over the existing wiring harnesses but they are expensive.

My local Ace hardware has a grommet section that puts Lowe's to shame..

JEGS and Summit Racing have grommet kits with multiple sizes and styles. Cheap and good for all sorts of applications.

Another option might be to look in some junk-yards for Tacoma's. They've got a nearly identical grommet on the firewall.

Thanks for the responses guys. I figured I would have to split the new grommet to make it work. As long as they fit snug then they will look way better than the brittle, squirrel chewed up originals.
