They are both very nice. I think the one you are talking about might be creme instead of beige. I think the other one with the black grille and wheels is a beige ‘82 converted to round headlights. It’s really hard to tell the color based on the lighting.

so you like the chrome look better, SomedayJ? I’d take either of the two. Both are very nice. I recently swapped to the early style round headlights. The fit just isnt as good with the aftermarket parts. If I could find some nice original square headlamp doors I would switch back. The main reason I swapped is because my grille and one of my headlamp doors was busted

I like chrome on the earlier gens, including ours (only the functional parts like vent window, bumpers, etc).
Round headlights look more classic, too.

Yes, the color of the truck in the top photo is "creme" and it's my old '83 truck. The buyer I sold it to converted it to round headlights, added the stripes and had the bed sand blasted and coated. Can't recall the color code, but it was NOT A48. Creme is a decent color, but very bland IMHO--more yellowish than beige/tan. The paint was the original paint, just buffed out.

I guess I still haven’t found a good pic showing the A48 beige then. It was only made in ‘82 so it’s been hard to find a good pic so I can visualize what the color would look like

I would give my right kidney for the one with the chrome rims, grill and front bumper, and my left kidney for the other one.
