Rust hole in the bed

Rust hole in the bed
Hey gang, i've got a hole right in the bed seam below the filler cap. It's really the only issue on the truck and I want to fix it proper (welded patch). I was wondering if anyone had experience patching this particular location as I've seen this spot rotting on virtually every 80's pickup i've seen.
In addition, I'm going to be painting the issue area when I'm done and given no body work experience I'm a little intimidated by trying to recreate the color. It's stock toyota blue, but with kind of a washed out matte look. Anyone have any experience trying to recreate this kind of patina?
Like I said the hole is really the only issue, and I LOVE the look of the mildly patina'd paint. I'm going to to try my best to color match but I just think as soon as I clear coat it it's going to look awful.
Let me know,
Thanks!

Pictures area great help.
When you cut out the rusted part take that section to your local autobody supplier most are really good at matching paint .
Are you planning on painting the whole bed??
