I'm fixna get off my but and patch the rust hole in my bed but couldn't find and threads or articles on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what year s our truck? jc whitney sells patch pannels for the 79-83 beds that match the contours of the floor but the 84+ trucks have a slightly diffrent pattern. i used the 83 patch pannels anyway on my 84 and did some welding and bondo and once it was covered in bed liner you couldnt even tell the diffrence.

the other option would be find a truckin the yard to cut the bed out of.

 

or just find a bed in a junkyard, i know easier said than done. but thats where i would start.

 

I don't think a new bed is needed. i have a 83 with rusted out seams. the 85 just needs a little patch. its a little bigger than a quarter. I have heard of a fiberglass patch but never fooled with it?
