83 22r wont idle after driving

I got an 83 4x with an all factory 22r 4 speed. A couple months ago I noticed that every once in awhile (once a week or so) after driving for awhile I push my clutch in and it dies it also bucked a couple time if I was at a constant speed. Now every time I drive it once its warm it won't idle unless I hold it at 2 grand and it pops out the carb when cruising at a constant speed but has all the power when I'm accelerating idles perfect when cold. I've checked vac lines and didn't find anything wrong there and just reset the carb back to factory settings and same thing please help and it also cleans out to a perfect idle if I keep diving it awhile but sometimes it dont

My 82 done this, there is a ground wire that goes to the fuel shut off on the carb, if it gets loose the valve stays closed so when you clutch it dies. It only affects idle, so it will run if your on the pedal. I would post a pic but my engine is at the machine shop.

That wire goes to ground on the pass side wheel well by the smog crap and battery, I believe.

2 black / yellow stripe, 1 yellow, 1 black, there is a pich on jumper from the black to ground, I would ground at the neg battery to fender bolt, hope this helps, from time to time mine has to be wiggled to make ground, I will fix during the rebuild.

2 wires coming from the carb are black and white/black stripe, black is ground if you want to get around the plug

Yeah I think either bad ground or voltage will leave the fuel cut off closed.
