Stop asking how hard things will be, and start DOING THEM

haha someone is frustrated.
darkangel: do some resarch.
its a lot of work to convert, unless your in it for the experience youd be better off finding a cheap 4wd that needs some work

Not worth the bother. Either find yourself a 4wd, or just lift your 2wd.

Well seriously. Who asks "how hard" a 4x4 conversion is? If you don't know what parts are needed for a 4x4 conversion....ya better just BUY a 4x4.

if your building a rockcrawler then it wouldnt be much harder than a 4wd because basically when building a rock crawler you replace almost all the drivetrain. just do some research. there is a guy on pirate 4x4 that build a rockcrawler out of a mid 70s 2wd toyota look up his build on pirate.

plus starting with a 2wd gives you a good excuse to go one tons right out of the box.

but if your just wanting a 4x4 to play around with you should just buy a 4x4.

Well here is my thing...I like this truck..and I dont want to buy another...but responding to some emergencies I have to go off road. Muddy, or snowy conditions...and I dont want to get stuck...if I can do it with a 2WD then i'll do it.

get yourself an aussie locker and put it in the back...heck I even put one in with out totally screwing it up....$265 or so delivered to your door...but if you really want a reliable vehicle for emergency use etc as I think i read in one of your threads...I would buy something newer that is not going to require a ton of work...all of these threads you are starting are getting confusing...tweaking a tired engine makes them less reliable....find a computer that is not linux based and post some pictures...
