Bi-focal safety glasses

Thought I would post these for the rest of the old timers out there.

I got these this week from VS eye wear.

http://www.vseyewear.com/shippingquestions.aspx

They are great. I don't need my glasses all the time. And these are really nice when reading tech stuff or looking at fine detail.

Ok young ones let the jokes begin.

Hope this helps someone else. I know my welds got better when I tried these out.

Wabbit...the OP's are not, they're like the reading glasses you find at Target or wherever but a safety glasses version. Perfect for almost too old peoples like me.
For $550, Nightstalker's better bring him breakfast in bed.

^^^^ yeah they are just regular ANZI Z87 safety glasses with a magnifying reader in them. Mine are only a plus 1. But they go up to plus 5. Cost is about $11.00 plus shipping.

I bought a pair of safety / reading glasses at Lowes for around 10.00 a couple years ago. .They did have a good selection of strengths to choose from.

I wear trifocals, but I would like to find a pair of safety cheaters for welding.

Used them today reading schematic and soldering while putting the newer model VSV's and sensors/senders in my runner. Awesome.

I put a 1.25x magnifier in my auto darkening welding helmet ant just love it. Replaced the flat clear lens that protects the auto-dark filter. Nice thing is has a very long focal distance so everything is clear and sharp, cost under $10.

I got mine at McMaster-Carr, but I think most welding shops carry them too.

The one I got was 2"x4-1/4" which fit my Huntsman helmet. They also list a "universal fit", although no dimensions are listed.
