Miller Jeep Trail 2006

Had a blast riding shotgun in the storm runner and Eric's white-knuckle driving abilities. Got to see a lot since I didn't drive Scout this time around, but it was well worth the trip. BTW beware of the lesbo forest ranger on the prowl in Hungry Valley

The TTORA guys were a very cool group to wheel with again, and I'm looking forward to the next run up there. So many trails, so little time. Anyways, on to the pics!

And... *drum roll*

That quick clip is very cool Ryan. You could have done it with a harder section though. LOL

Great trip TTORA guys were great again. I'll post some pics later today.

As promised, some pics:
Bruce doing some fine spotting!

Charles getting it done easily

The Group

Ocean smiling for the camera

Pat showing some Stig driving skills

The SAS'ed monster Taco

Again really fun trip. Like Ryan said if you are ever in the Hungry Valley Park watch out for the crazy Rangers.

We had 5 4Runners out there representing our breed. 5 out of 12 is a good showing. TTORA guys were very gracious hosts and it is safe to say the Taco vs Runner stuff is a thing of the past for these 2 groups now that it is Toyota Territory Off Roaders Association instead of Tacoma Territory ...

I want to give thanks to those at the MJT-06, Eric, Ryan, Pat and the group from TTORA.
Im glad I went with you guys, Im thankfull for the spotting, guiding and catching a tip I almost did.(Ryan)
Special thanks to Eric for the load of confadence and insite and a sorry if my whining was getting on your nervs.
I also thank those in TTORA, They were a great help, Especialy since the 4R came out unscathed.
Its hard to keep a peace of mind when the runner is so out of shape and my co-pilot was screaming in my ear all the time.

No problem Lorn. Not on my nerves at all. You just never pushed it that hard in that Runner and I can totally understand your caution. We all started cautious. Glad you came out and played. Your rig did well!

Nice pics! Reminds me of the trip I took to LA in 1998 ( ) to run the Miller Jeep Trail:

^^^ My old 1994 Xtra Cab

^^^ Tippy in some spots

I would like to run that trail again.

They do the run every year so maybe next year or this fall/winter. We could do a YT run. Long drive but some great views at the top. Good camping area also.

Well the run was awesome. Lots of very cool people on this run and a lot of nice rigs. Everything from nearly stock to tricked the hell out. I haven't been offroading for too long and I must say that this was one of my most difficult trips. This trip definately convinced me to purchase a locker very soon so hopefully by the Big Bear trip I will have mine. Thanks for a great time, can't wait to get out again...here are my pics.

No stock vehicles on that run. A stock runner would get banged up pretty good and have a rough time of it.

VooDoo - No problem on the spotting bit. In hindsight, pushing UP on the downward side of your runner is NOT a bright idea by any means, but you were getting pretty off camber at the top of the trail where you had to make that 3 point turn and I've seen how tipsy those 2nd gens are. I am just overly cautious about helping people avoid a flop by any means necessary after my run-in. Your wife WAS definitely freaked by that 3 point turn though

Cannot believe I missed this one. Good shot of Bruce. Maybe if I post it he will say yes to building me a bumper?????

Come on Bruce. Then there would be Green, Black and a White Runner with this set up. You know you want there to be fleet of Runners with your bumpers.

Hey Eric, lets just tackle the project together and try to bang out 2 at the same time. I'm sure we would need alot of help/tips from Bruce but I think it could be done.
I have a semester of welding under my belt, and just need a mig welder to use. I wouldn't mind building my own, I know it would be alot cheaper than buying one. I'm over my tire carrier, in fact I remove it after every run b/c it is annoying for daily use.

I would be totally down to mke 2 of our own. I can weld some myself. I actually have quite a bit of use or loose leave on the books so I need to take time off anyway.

2 Public school educated guys should be able to do this! LOL

I'm in!
