Is there an adapter to join two toy transfer cases together or do you have to buy a product from Marlin etc?

Marlin sells the adaptor that you will need.

AA, Inchworm and others sell similar stuff.

I forget the exact geneaology, but Marlin is the grandfather, and not the sole originator of the idea. He just does it better than the rest.

I remember seeing the original Marlin adapter (MC01?) in magazines long ago. It didn't use a new output shaft, instead it had a coupling or something to connect to existing output to the second case input. Added about a foot of length instead of the current 6½".

marlins new style standard adapter (MC07)will run about $400

inchworm makes their own and is solid billet (MC08) and is $475

advance adapters makes the old style marlin (MC05) and can be found for $275 easily. the MC05 doesnt have all the new oiling capabilities of the new one and has smaller bearings, but a lot of people are still using MC05's now from years ago with no troubles. so personally, i wouldnt hesitate to use one.

but then again, marlin and inchworm have customer service that AA cant even touch. keep that in mind also if murphy likes to have his way with your projects.

Marlin's billet version of the MC07 is the MC08, not Inchworm.

yep, you are correct. It was a coupler, but one issue with the first version, the coupler would chew the splines out of the t-case input on the back case, whoops,lol. A # of years backwe were up at reiter, and we lost all movement, and thought we had broke the something in the trannys, come to find out, the splines were all gone, and called marlin and thats when I found out about the problem. And here is the kicker, he sent a new coupler (this is after that version had been out of production for a # of years) and a week laetr calls, and sends a new adapter(new version) and just asks for the old stuff back, boy, what can you say to that...

I had christmas eve off from work last year, so I took a trip up to Marlin's shop to talk about having their shop do a 4-link suspension on my 4Runner. while I was there, I was so impressed with Him and his crew that I ended up buying a MC09 crawl box! By far one of the best improvements I made so far.

You can't get customer service like that at any place I know of. When I do transfer-c work I know who I'm gonna call. I want that twin stick deal that's not on the market yet. I can't wait!

I was very please with my product and service from inchworm. Everything fit like it was supposed to, the part arrived on time and I could actually get in touch with him.

I have some noise from the t-case now and he said send it back, I'll tear it apart, fix it and send it back.
