Water Leak help!!

Ok, i have a 93 Toyota Pickup with a 22re, i just had a Jasper engine put in, and discoverd a little leak under the truck,, got to searching and looks like it is leaking from the "thingy" that is under the oil filter,
question is what is that Thingy??
has a wire going to it, and looks round, maybe a sensor, not sure what it is called thats why im asking??????

Either the knock sensor, or the oil pressure sender. Neither of which has coolant going to it.

btw pics are worth 1000 words.

Well it is possible it is oil,
ive never had a new engine before where the oil is as clear as water, lol
if it is the oil pressure switch, is it possible for oil to drip out of there??
ill try to take a picture tomorrow of it and post it

watery substance from that area could possibly be condensation from an AC system. Just a thought...

Engine block heater? Mine is leaking like crazy right now. I think its an aftermarket part installed in a removed freeze out plug... trying to figure out how to tighten mine. Keep an eye on your coolant level!!!!

If it's under the oil filter and kinda to the right, it's the oil pressure sender. I say sender because you say it's round. If it were long and skinny, it would be a switch.

yes i believe it is the oil pressure sender,
so is it possible that it is dripping out of there, and down on the front running gears and then on ground,,
sound like the right area??

Yeah it's possible. You should just be able to take a crescent wrench and tighten it up.
