Water pump issues and repairs
I have a 94 sr5 4x4 pickup 3.0v6 I noticed a few days ago I was leaking anti freeze from near water pump, when you start it in the am engine cold it will it leak antifreeze dribbles out slow but steady Engine temp stays just before the 1/2 way on factory gage doesn't overheat after warm up it stops wont happen again till engine is basically cold. Is this a water pump failure? There is no noise coming from water pump Or gasket maybe ? If so I been told by another Toyota owner do not buy a remanufactured water pump they are junk? I do not plan to do this my self hell no! this is about where my mechanical ability and patience ends. I have got several prices just labor 360.00 1 mechanic said 85hr he said could take 3 hrs it could take 4 this of course is without parts. Kit costs 235.00 from napa I refused to buy parts from Autozone is this a fair price for labor? I know it gotta be done by someone and no one works for free I just don't need to be screwed. any response will be greatly appreciated

If you can't, or won't, do your own work, and have no qualified friends who will help for beer and BBQ; you are at the mercy of prevailing labor rates.
You don't even want to ask The Toyota dealer what they would want for the work.
It is a fairly big job to change out the wtr pump, because there quite a few things in front of it that must be moved, and the cam timing must be verified on reassembly.

Millball is right on. I would say the prices and hours you were quoted are more than fair. $85/hour is the going shop rate around here for independent mechanics, and the job is at least a 3-4 hour job for someone who knows what they are doing.

A leak is not a water pump failure. If your short on cash, try tightening the bolts around the pump, keep the fluid up, and keep watching. I have never heard of a "reman water pump", buy a new aftermarket one if needed. Remember, mechanics will charge at least double for the part replaced, making more money. If you are even slightly mechanically inclined and have tools, do it your self and save $400.

The water pump has a weep hole at the 6 o'clock position. A little dribble is the hallmark of a failing water pump. The impeller shaft seal is leaking.
The question is how long will it last? You could drive for months that way. Just keep extra coolant with you and monitor it closely. DO NOT LET IT OVERHEAT!
For the record, I would avoid buying acre remanufactured water pump if I were doing it myself.
