damn dude.. your in sammamish? I'm in Bothell.. I've been following your build.. It's pretty much encredible! I have a 94 but I'm not sure I want to do anything with it. I've always been a car guy.. Used to have a turbo'd prelude was the 3rd highest hp on a stock block @ 329whp for a year.. then moved to an M3.. then sold the M3 for a 4runner.. long story I was all over for the last 5 years but.. When you get it all built I'd love to check it out and droool a lil.. Keep it up and I'm sure you already know but amazing runner you have there man! hell yeah on the snowboarding too... I'm flying to utah/snowbird tommorow morning! Totally thrilled!

I am going to skip skiing this weekend. Freezing level is high today and I cannot justify the expensive of skiing on ice. Now, if it turns out nice and the snow is springy, I'll be very jealous of yah!
Curious, where are you buying your steel?

Im not to familiar with the swap as I havent been involved with onebut I do know the topic is out there and the swap is very common. Do a few searches on it and you should be able to find all the info youll need As for my build right now... I just widend the axle's on my trailer but ran out of wire to finish welding them up to the trailer. I hope I get paid this week so I can get some this weekend and finish it up. This project is taking forever but SOON I hope to have it back on the trails. if not Ill anyway back to work ![]()

Ive been wanting to widen my trailer axles for some time and also move them forward on the frame. This will help make the trailer more stabe when towing.
Heres a few pics of the work so far ramps were strenthend and tabs were made to hold them in place while driving up them. The center bar is the centerline to the tires ![]() Ramps pins are welded to the ramps and box tube is used to locate the pins ![]() Oops forgot to turn the pic. Notice the box has room for the pins to slide. Also the ramps can be turned around to accomidate different size vehicles ![]() Axle cut in half. Its 1 3/4 solid square steel. ![]() 6" wider and stronger ![]() New mounts in the works. They need some extra gusseting before they are done but their getting there ![]()

That may be
its gonna have to be big though. So I worked and hung My trailers springs and was working on the axles to check the pads and such when I found that my trailers so called brakes turned out to be a load of crap Oh they did have pads but no actuators to move the pads. Not to mention the pads were all shot and basically fell apart. I had to order a whole new assembly and hopefully they will work with my drums and if not well then new drums will have to also be ordered. $$$ I dont want nor can really spend right now. This project has proven to be very difficult and very frustrating. I do love doing it all but today just wasn't my day. I guess there is always tomorrow. Sorry for the rant I just feel like at the momentIll get some pics up soon to show my progress of what I have done and hopefully by next week my truck will be able to be towed by my trailer safely thats if the new parts fit right ![]()
