Not hard.
You just need to be sure & get ALL the hardware from the donor truck. All the washers, lock rings, etc... Also go ahead and get the 10mm bolts , washers & cone washers that came from the donar. The Hex bolts that came on my '95 T100 suck. I changed mine out & it was not hard. You will also need a large ( I think 32mm ) socket. I know someone sells the kit, but I cannot think of it at this time. I made my own before I saw them for sale. FYI, you may need to double check if you can reasonably change to lock out hubs on the '98. If memory serves, the easy change out stopped at '95. The '96 & up are a Pain in the Ars & really Expen$ive ! Good Luck to you! |

Tragic Drive-I need a picture of the axle vacuum, the solenoids, and the egr box. I want to see how it is hooked up so I can hook up my ADD again. My friend and I took it off thinking we wouldn't need it, but stupid me, come to find out those were the ones powering the front diff. Basically I have the solenoids in place and the egr box, but I don't know where all the vacuum hoses go.

Do you need more pics other than what has already been posted?
I have my 97 all stock and can take pis of the diff area for you. On Aisin manual hubs they are fine to install. You need to have a good size brass punch and you can resuse the cone washers that are on the existing drive flange. The T-100 has its disconnect at the Diff so the hubs are relatively simple. I can take them on and off in 10min as long as the cone washers aren't horribly frozen.
