First road trip
I fly radio controlled helicopters. I wanted to go down to one of the clubs to fly today. It is on several hundred acres of private land. I wanted to teach my 13 year old son to drive a manual. So we packed the T100 and headed out for a 96K (60 mile) each way trip.
The weather was great. A bunch of my flying buddies showed up and my son did great learning the manual. After I taught him to start, stop and shift with me in the truck, I gave him the keys and proceeded to get to flying.
So how was the truck on the first long trip? Not bad over all. It took a while to get used to an old, beat up, noisy and loose vehicle. It is very hard to go from a full tank to 2/3 full over 200K. My Prius would not even have left full.
The cruise control does not work. That sucks. I do have the AC working OK so that was a big bonus. I did learn to appreciate some of the qualities of this truck by the time we got home.
I can't wait till I get some of the anoyances fixed.
I am looking forward to getting on the trails. Happy wheeling.

Check that clutch bracket over carefully...the original had a tendency to crack. If left alone...it will eventually crack yer firewall, too.
You'd have to troubleshoot the cruise control and see what it's seeing...

Look closer
The cruise panel light blinks when I turn it on. I thought it was a steady blink but now I think it is random. I read the switch plate under the steering wheel can have problems. I may start there.
All of the wheeling trails are more than a hours drive to the enterance from my home. Many are 3 or more hours away. Doing those long over-the-road trips without cruise control will be painful. I.E., spending some time and money on that subsystem is worth it to me.
